Sorry for late post, did not have time and when had time was thinking about how to get the website work as some crazy virus took over website and google god will now allow anyopen to open website but finally the site works again www.adventureholidaytours.com After my last trip i got my new VW car and its a nice decent car, i loved it and as well as Pam my other guest from canada loved it as well and thought it was awesome way to travel around india :-) You can also give a look to Pam's blog its  http://pamkocz.tumblr.com/ we had such a wonderful time together, she spend two days in village area then another two days in rishikesh which was really nice and we also did the caves and that off road i always do. This was a bit hard for pam as she doesn't like heights very much but we managed and she loved it all. It was actually a very similar trip to the last one that i did with Michelle and her daughter Kim, just the difference was i was dropping Pam in amritsar as her husb...

Shimla and toy train ride + Going back to Delhi

So the day started wonderfully with a nice exercise as not always haha and was ready before we planned to leave our hotel for Shimla visit. Lekhu and me had some good omelette at one of the nice little restaurant not so far from the hotel we were staying at, was lovely. The road to Shimla is a bit pretty and we all enjoyed it, it was only about 60kms to Shimla from the hotel that we were staying.. So was not a long drive, in only about 1hr 30mins we were there and entering the city was a bit crazy as the traffic started , roads in Shimla are not so wide and everybody have to stuck on their lines and because there was some construction going on so lekhu had to drive us a long way to get back to parking. In the end we made it and too a lift to go up to the mall road which is the most famous road in and around Shimla area. Mall road is amazing shopping area and you can get alot of stuff like clothes, very old paintings but very expensive old paintings without any big discount.... NO DI...

Rishikesh to dehradun and around.

Had wonderful beginning of day yesterday with lovely omelette and chai. We started for Dehradun with a hope to see some elephants on the way as its very much possible to see some around these jungle highways. We even saw sambhar dear baby yesterday which was cool and very different, he looked very happy :-).. No luck with elephant but discovered a new place with little following river made specially for summer enjoyment for the families, me and lekhu did swim and Aussies were enjoying sitting at one of the quite part. After that we went to sahastradhara this is a very small town with a hill top garden where one can reach by cable car, lovely view of the valley from there and its only about 12kms from there. Later we thought to take them to hotel and let them rest a bit before visiting bhatta falls which was a very good idea as this water fall is surrounded by nature with only peacefulness and only one tea stall where we did have some nice chai. This was my second time here after with ...

Back on another nice trip with Australian Mom and daughter

So we made it back to Delhi with sue and she left India with smile and I will be seeing her next year again for some other part of India. Spent some very boring days in Delhi sitting in office but some very interesting as well, as of course i love giving temple and walking tour of old Delhi , managed to get some people. Now on a trip with Aussies. Lovely Mom and daughter very easy going. The tour started with a little stop in village and it was my visit to village after a long time as i spend over a month travelling on the other direction with Sue. Love meeting Jyoti my lovely cousin sister, she is the boss of the family and manage to keep it all under control. Aussies loved it as i guess things here are so different and not even close to what it is like in Australian villages i guess. After this visit i took them to their hotel but they wanted to come back again to meet Jyoti and get some henna design made on their hand. I stayed in the village with lekhu the driver who ...

Bikaner to Mandawa.

Today was a bit hard on me as didn't sleep well, probably coz the bed was too soft, I love hard bed :p.... We had beautiful breakfast in our beautiful restaurant and the guy serving us was nice too so the beginning of day was definitely going to be interesting as all the other days.. Good that roads today were all empty and smooth, loved these smooth roads during this time traveling, going to miss it when driving up north really. I love driving but these roads were so much like when I was driving around Europe or turkey....so boring but we made it to point where I woke up as the holes started and it gave me feel that we are closer to the end of the trip :p haha... In Mandawa the second time now and it was lovely time the last time I was here and it was a lovely day today as well in here. Very quite city with not much honking..going to miss it when in Delhi tomorrow. We made a little walk and later I washed my car in the garden of this beautiful hotel we were staying at , feels ...

Jodhpur to Bikaner and Bikaner :-)

As had nothing much yesterday so thought to combine yesterday and today :-) Yesterday was very boring drive from jodhpur to Bikaner as no offroad, and you know how these straight roads drive me nuts or banana as sue says haha. Bikaner is great the first great thing was our hotel. We arrived from boring ride and then straight away in swimming pool after check inn :-) felt like this entire hotel is for us as there were no other guest. Love swimming really. After wonderful swim we drove in the city for some nice dinner and yes it was a very nice dinner at one of the hotel roof top, we had butter chicken and a few papaya lassi, papaya lassi is awesome.. Then later drove back to the hotel and after wonderful sleep, had wonderful breakfast and then sightseeing time finally. We drove to junagarh fort which is cool, must visit. Bikaner is a nice place and fort was one of the main attraction and later we drove 30km from here to see the rat temples , believe me it was a real experience,...

Udaipur - Jodhpur

Day started as usual, waking up anytime and then after quick shower breakfast at most beautiful place :-), love this restaurant and people as well, as they all smile and I love it. Started the trip and TomTom took a short cut which was off-road for about 100kms and it was very nice, glad i go with tomtom's suggestion as otherwise it wouldn't have been so interesting, there were some mountains as well and i love these mountain roads, now after long drive in jodhpur. Enjoyed some swimming in the pool and now watching some south indian movie :p rest day haha....... Later dinner and tomorrow to Bikaner :-)

Udaipur.

A beautiful city to spend time in after all the long distance traveling. Had nice breakfast inn hotel, fruits omelette and potato parantha, by the way I have been trying to control diet so my stomach is not terribly out by the end of this trip haha so had no paranthas for a few days. Today car had rest and I just took a tuk tuk. with sue and went to the market near city palace but wasn't too tempting as it was very touristic and we ended up walking around some local markets which was nice and interesting for sue, later we had nice lassi in one of the restaurant where we could just sit and do people watching which is always interesting in India ;-), I llove it ..... We also sat near the lake and saw some kids swimming in the lake, and they were really having fun. Its a beautiful calm city depends on how you see it and who you are with :-) Now back in hotel after a nice chai tea at hotel restaurant. After a little rest going for nice dinner :-) wonderful dinner after wonderful ...

Ahmedabad to Udaipur.

Nice breakfast at lemon tree hotel, sometimes luxury isn't bad ;-), chicken sausage reminded me of some previous trips out of India where I loved it. Left about 9am and was a bit caos to get out of the city with a bit of traffic but after about 30-40mins we were out on mmain roads again good roads, love them and probably going to miss it all when I go to village home  again and roads there are not so good but love the view of Ganges while taking the off road to village ;-) Today as well I saw changing scenery and already thinking about starting some tours of this area as my drivers and me myself would love doing it as its interesting and roads are amazing with always something interesting going on. It took me a while to find hotel in Udaipur as internet on phone stopped working but still made it,, there was a very kind man who told me to come behind him , he was on his tuktuk kind of thing and he showed me the way:-) we have some really wonderful people here who just go out ...

Surat to ahemdabad

Started the day with omelette and some nice hot shower. I love driving and glad that I am indian and not afraid of any traffic, otherwise it would be difficult. Today the traffic was a bit mad as Surat is probably the biggest city that I have been in almost 3/4 weeks, took some time but we made it to highway which was clean and clear same as in Europe, awesome when you don't have to change the gear as in north you change gear often. Loved it and later after arriving in Ahmedabad took sue for some sightseeing and visited some nice very local market, nice I enjoyed it. In the evening made a little walk around the hotel and went to law garden for some food and it was awesome same as in Thailand how they have open restaurants with chairs outside. Was really nice dinner and now back for some sleep. Tomorrow to Udaipur, getting closer to the end now as sue will be flying back home on 9th April, enjoy your evening.

Ellora to Surat

Day started at about 5:30am when I was thinking if to get up or not :p, did make it out of hotel about 7am so good, leaving early is awesome as the temperature is good and traffic is less. I had to take same road for about 100kms that I took while coming to Ellora, after 100s I thought to make a short cut so we see something new and new roads and village. Believe me I do get into adventurous positions where my guests think I am their hero as trying to show them some real real India, I do try but I also care about my small car :p Took this short cut and by mistake took a wrong turn as I didn't see the right turn, and made it to some small villages and guess as usual sue probably was the only tourist made it to these village roads and guess first Delhi guy on Delhi car haha. There was time when I thought I was not so far from my village as the roads were so similar to some of the field side roads in my village. Some of the bumps were hard to see and i by mistake hit the gear box ch...

ellora caves and aurangabad

A wonderful beginning of day with some cheese omelette and toast. We drove to the caves and caves were absolutely amazing so old , for once I felt it was so similar to ankhor wat in cambodia. There are about 34 caves from which 16th number is the best and really the best will ad some photos on the facebook page of Adventure holiday tours , India soon so you can all have a look. Later we drove to Aurangabad and so this copied Taj Mahal which was just cool, not so much like taj but does give a little feel of it. The crown inside was absolutely similar to the one inside real Taj Mahal. Beautiful town with a lot of really old structures, specially the one to enter the city, view of some mountain top fort was really nice.. After this amazing afternoon we were driving back to Ellora to hotel and thought to eat some lunch and found a nice dhaba ( road side restaurant ) was just awesome had chicken that was made in their own dhaba style awesome, delicious chicken after long time as really ...

drive to Ellora caves

Today was a nice very early morning. Woke uup with wiki wiki alarm clock at 5am and was ready to drive sue to Ajanta/Ellora caves. Had a little toast and tea for breakfast at 6am , were ready to leave for another about 350kms drive, very interesting drive really,  it just changes so much the scenery and its wonderful driving around this kind of area and I personally loved it. Some of the highways were awesome again during this drive no holes until near Ellora caves and some of the mountains were really steep like Himalaya,, sue was a bit afraid for the first time and I thought really? We have driven through so crazy Himalaya roads and now here she is afraid where traffic was very slow because of trucks ? Well I am a good driver its only the way slow trucks were going up and coming down so totally understandable but am use to it so for me its so normal specially after the ladhak trip on motorbike. Made it to ellora by 01pm and beautiful hotel with garden from where you can see t...

Mandu

So we were staying in a road side hotel near Dhar, very quite place and staff was lovely and a bit shocked as I am sure they do not see many foreigners around here but sue wasn't shocked as she is use to these shocked looks haha. Nice little breakfast and then we drove around 20kms to mandu and found another nice place to stay known as Malwa resort they swimming pool as well but not all that great, I didn't feel very good this morning, thought got some flew but afternoon sightseeing and drive around one of the loveliest scenery of small villages with smile on everybody's face made me feel so good :-) Mandu is an amazing place with so many little destroyed structure, I am not so good in history but this stop made me think a lot what this could have been and the view from one of the palace to valley was quite beautiful and unexpected. I will upload some pics in our facebook page Adventure holiday tours, India so you can have a look that its a beautiful place. View from the...
Good day with easy morning and later after breakfast left for thinking we are going to Ahmedabad but in the middle of the trip my mind worked and thought this route might not be the best ao thought of doing it other way like going to this small town mandu in MP ( Madhya Pradesh ) another beautiful state with not so good roads at the moment but its under construction. All was well just the driving got a bit long I was driving from about 10am till 9pm with just one stop for lunch at one place which was good idea as that's where I planned to come to mandu instead of ahemdabad, now might even go to ajanta ellora caves day after tomorrow which will be really nice as have never been there and heard only good things about this this place. When we entered MP it was really cool, as the clouds where shouting about rain and we saw some really wet road so there was a lot of rain before we have arrived in that road and it had cool down the weather, which was really nice and another beautiful...

Drive to Bhavnagar and India vs Australia match

Today was early morning. Started at about 4 something am and started driving towards Bhavnagar as wanted to make it before the cricket match started at 9am. Guess what I was using TomTom and google map so no wrong street will come but this time google map thought we were walking and took us to smallest possible street but I managed to get out after a few directions from lovely people, when they see a foreigner wth you then they help you even more nicely haha no just kidding they would still help. We are nice people.. We made it to bhavnagar just a little later then 9am and Cricket game was interesting and Australia won but was a nice game in the beginning. No more talking about cricket now as have to work and show sue around. So took her to a victoria park here in Bhavnagar which was nice and we even saw a deer there, female deer, they call them sambha deer in India. Some interesting type of stork as well which was interesting and unexpected, by the way while walking around this area...

Around Diu

Today started with some not so good sleep I guess maybe because of the chlorine water in my eye but feels much better this morning then last night. Had nice fruit with yogurt in breakfast and trying to skip some fatty paratha kind of breakfast while traveling :-) , so todays plan was to go visit the Diu Fort and St.paul church, we made a round around the island with car which was fun passing nice area with small village and some very beautiful/impressive temples with so many different colors. Diu fort is quite amazing, it was built around 16th century and the walls still look quite strong and am sure it can go for years. After a nice walk around fort I took sue to the church which was another beautiful building and very old, we were just talking about how they use to make some really very strong buildings in past, even the church building looked very big and strong. We sat there for a while and later drove back to hotel and started some walk around the beach. As was feeling really ...
Today was a wonderful morning, started with the cricket match between south Africa and new Zealand, saw for about an hour then after breakfast left for Diu our next destination, interesting one as it use to be Portuguese island until 1961 when India took over it. Car worked absolutely perfect and smooth she is ready for another wonderful 3-4000kms till we are back in Delhi, didn't tell anyone but my car is she and her name is Basanti ;-) we have been  together for long and have driven her a lot around everywhere specially Himalaya. So we left and saw some interesting roads. TomTom tried to bring us to some short cut again but glad that road was closed and as now I have been using google map also so it has been working quite well. Roads and people and trees everything was changing a bit and as i said something about Nigerian/African people I just think its there 2nd or 3rd generation in this area as they are almost everywhere and they are Gujarati :-) its crazy but nice to know h...
had beautiful evening yesterday and this morning a little walk around the river side was awesome and very interesting as we saw a crocodile on the other side of river last night haha, but still nice walk with no crocodile today but a lot of nice birds and people. After a nice walk swim around pool was just so nice feels like its my own holiday haha. Now after lunch I have left to pick up the car from garage a little walk through the village with sun right on top is not pleasant but sitting at tea shop waiting for bus is very interesting :-) , Didn't got the bus but managed to get into one of those little four wheeler shared taxi, finally felt I am a little over size indian for these little taxis. Interesting thing was that I saw really beautiful little girl,, must have been around 8, but really really beautiful. The driver of this taxi was a guy who could actually be a Nigerian /african but guess their generation around here is from long time as they were really fluent in Gujarat...

Traveling around Gujarat area.

So it all started when Sue asked me to take her to some non-touristic part of India. Last time when she was here it was last year around October and l took her to some real non-touristic part around Himalayas and some of those places were new to me as well and as i can speak some different languages so it was easy to understand people and get the best of everything. This time i planned on taking her to Gujarat, i have passed some cities of Gujarat while traveling towards Mumbai once but never had a close look and now i see hoe beautiful part of India it is and so non-touristy really. We started in Delhi, were in pushkar - jodhpur - mount-Abu, and then the Gujarat adventure started, believe me the roads here are absolutely much better then in northern India, felt like i was driving in Europe around alps when i drove there 2013 beginning. Our first stop in Gujarat was bhuj, i already booked a nice accommodation with swimming pool as we were going to be there for three nights, bhu...
