Shimla and toy train ride + Going back to Delhi
So the day started wonderfully with a nice exercise as not always haha and was ready before we planned to leave our hotel for Shimla visit. Lekhu and me had some good omelette at one of the nice little restaurant not so far from the hotel we were staying at, was lovely.
The road to Shimla is a bit pretty and we all enjoyed it, it was only about 60kms to Shimla from the hotel that we were staying.. So was not a long drive, in only about 1hr 30mins we were there and entering the city was a bit crazy as the traffic started , roads in Shimla are not so wide and everybody have to stuck on their lines and because there was some construction going on so lekhu had to drive us a long way to get back to parking. In the end we made it and too a lift to go up to the mall road which is the most famous road in and around Shimla area.
Mall road is amazing shopping area and you can get alot of stuff like clothes, very old paintings but very expensive old paintings without any big discount.... NO DISCOUNT or bargaining, I was surprised but anyways there are some nice buildings like theatre , post office, beautiful view , clock tower and church.
On the way back to car we took stairs and it was awesome idea as I got to get some banana and local markets are always awesome. I actually also enjoyed taking lekhu almost everywhere with me on these walks so maybe in future he walks with people he is showing around :-), we had some chai with some sweets and then made our way to car by walk.
Then later lekhu drove us to the train station for our toy train ride which was going to be little over 3 hrs.. It was wonderful experience and I am sure I will be doing this for people again as well. Beautiful scenery and I have posted some pics on company's facebook page.
After arriving we just walked to our hotel and shower after that was amazing. Later we played some pool which is awesome , lekhu is getting much better and I think I have found another thing that I like, of course I like as I can win it sometimes haha.
Dinner was butter chicken, alloo jeera, chilli chicken, rice and cheese naan. Day was perfect and one thing that I learned yesterday was that wink 😉 is not winkle haha ....
Now we are driving back to Delhi and I am a bit excited about the new car but at the same time a bit upset as this amazing trip is near to the end :(
