Village home visit near Haridwar
Its already a week before now that I visited my village home with my parents and sister. It was for a ceremony related to my beloved uncle who passed away in 2013 and now in this ceremony we donate somethings to the priest and also feed locals.
We stayed in village for about 4 days and in these for days there we had to buy lots of stuff that we were donating and also serving people when people came home to eat.
My village home is one of my most favourite place and I love the opportunity to be there whenever I get a chance. In 2009 already I started a little village tour where I started bringing people on a Day village tour or even overnight stay in village as meanwhile also took them for a little tour of rishikesh area.
This village tour gives people a wonderful experience with real locals and real life. As mainly every country have its monuments but visiting a village and local people in India , living with them makes a big difference and it can make a unique experience in India for one.
I normally take people on walking around the fields, walking around villages nearby, sugarcane fields for a sugarcane directly from the field. Milking cow or buffalo if they wish etc.... Bath in a little pond near by if weather is too hot. Sometimes I also take people on a little cycle tour around the villages , its wonderful.
Sometimes our family private drivers bring people to village just for a visit as village has only 16 houses and it can be very very interesting for people.... a few hours in village and having a meal in our village home or just a cup of tea chai :-)
I prefer to take people for village stay personally as I know many hidden wonders around the village and surely it will be one of the best days of your life in India.
My favourite tours are actually around Himalaya and as our village is situated just 10/20kms from the foot hills of Himalaya it makes it even more special for me and for all the visitors. In my view this is Real India Travel or you can also say Real India Travel With Tarun
By the way I even went for a little ganga bath with my little cousin Manni. He is son of my uncle who passed away in 2013. He is lovely little boy, now he is around 12 and he has one sister who is 24 and brother who is 17 years old.. and a mom. Here are some pictures of me and Manni having bath in Ganga :-)
