Discovering Slovenia, Croatia & Austria with Us
Discovering Slovenia, Croatia & Austria with Us
When people think of Europe, names like Paris, Rome, or London usually come to mind first. But for me, some of the most memorable journeys happen in places that are a little less crowded and a lot more magical. That’s why we love taking guests to Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria.
We don’t just send people on these trips — we actually go along and show them around myself. It’s always a fun mix of exploring, sharing stories, and discovering those little details that make travel special.
Slovenia – Small Country, Big Charm
The first time I visited Lake Bled, I felt like I had stepped into a postcard. The emerald lake, the little church on the island, and the castle perched on a cliff — it’s impossible not to be amazed. I often take guests for a gentle boat ride across the water, and the views never disappoint.
Ljubljana, the capital, is another favorite. It’s compact, friendly, and perfect for strolling along the river. We usually stop for a coffee (or gelato!) before heading off to see the nearby Postojna Caves or the dramatic Predjama Castle built into a cliff.
Croatia – From Waterfalls to the Adriatic
Croatia has a way of surprising people. One day you’re walking through the old streets of Zagreb, and the next you’re surrounded by turquoise lakes and waterfalls in Plitvice National Park.
Down on the coast, Split and Dubrovnik are always highlights. In Dubrovnik, I love walking the city walls with my guests — the sea views are unforgettable. In Split, we dive into Roman history at Diocletian’s Palace, but also find time for a relaxed dinner by the harbor.
Austria – Culture Meets Mountains
Whenever I bring people to Vienna, we spend time exploring its grand palaces and cozy coffee houses. It’s a city that blends history with everyday life so beautifully.
A couple of hours away is Salzburg, a charming city where Mozart was born and where the Alps are always in the background. And if we have more time, we sometimes head to Hallstatt — a lakeside village that feels like something out of a storybook.
A Journey at Your Pace
I like to keep the trips flexible. Some travelers want to see as many sights as possible, others prefer slow mornings and longer coffee breaks. Because I accompany the trips personally, we can always adjust along the way.
For me, the best part is seeing guests enjoy the places I love — whether it’s taking photos at Lake Bled, tasting local food in Zagreb, or listening to live music in Vienna.
Thinking About Europe?
If you’re planning a trip and want to see a different side of Europe, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria are a fantastic combination. They’re close together, easy to travel between, and full of hidden gems.
I’ll be writing more about each destination in detail, so stay tuned for tips, day trips, and stories from the road.
